Facit AB was a Swedish manufacturer of office equipment and office furniture. The company based in Åtvidaberg existed between 1922 and 1998.

The company was founded in 1922 under the name AB Åtvidabergs Industrier . In the following years the company made a name for itself as a manufacturer of calculating machines that were sold under the name Facit . In 1956 the company was named Facit AB . In the following years the business grew, so that by 1970 the number of employees rose to 14,000. However, after cheaper calculating machines from Japan came onto the market in the early 1970s, Facit's business crashed rapidly and the company was taken over by Electrolux in 1973 . In 1983 Ericsson bought Facit AB and tried to sell microcomputers under the brand name . A brief success, the attempt had to be discontinued in 1988. In the following years the company was split up and finally discontinued in 1998.
