Åtvidaberg is a locality ( tätort ) in the Swedish province County Östergötland and capital of the municipality of the same name .
economy
The office machine manufacturer Facit AB dominated the local industry until the 1970s . Facit was taken over by the household appliance manufacturer Electrolux in 1972 and sold to Ericsson in 1981 . The company later became independent again and is now called PartnerTech AB . The product range includes information technology, medical technology and communication systems.
Sports
The Åtvidabergs FF football club achieved its greatest successes in the 1970s. So were 1972 and 1973, the Swedish Championships won the men's, and in 1970 and 1971 the National Cup be earned. In the subsequent participation in the European Cup, the team temporarily made it to the quarter-finals.
