Fairlight is a southern English village in the Rother District in East Sussex and is about 3 miles east of Hastings .
Fairlight is also the name of the community ( Civil Parish ), which is formed from the villages of Fairlight and Fairlight Cove . The community had 1,670 inhabitants in 2011.
Hastings Country Park stretches between Hastings and Fairlight and reaches the sea at Fairlight Glen.
Fairlight Church, St. Andrew's, was built in 1845 and has a tall tower with a rotating beacon that can be seen from afar.
