Faisal Karim

Faisal Karim (born December 21, 1981 ) is a retired Pakistani boxer.

He won the welterweight gold medal at the 2004 South Asian Games. Shortly thereafter, he won the Green Hill tournament and qualified for the Olympic Games. In June it became known that Karim had given a positive doping test , but he was only given a warning. At the Olympic Games in Athens he was eliminated in the first round against the later bronze medalist Ionuț Gheorghe . At the South Asian Games in 2006 he won the gold medal again. But because he tested positive again, he got the title revoked and was banned for life.
