Falcata
The curved sword of the Iberians is known as the falcata . This term was introduced by Fernando Fulgosio in 1872.

The Iberians had known the Falcata since the 5th century BC. They used it until the beginning of the 1st century AD. The Falcata is a short sword modeled on the Greek Makhaira through its Italic-Adriatic variants. It has a handle adapted to the human hand and an asymmetrical, approx. 50 centimeter long blade . The Falcata is equipped with a double or single cutting edge and a sharp point. Ornate Falcatas with silver inlays were found.
