Falcon Air Express was an American charter airline based in Doral and based at Miami International Airport .
history
Falcon Air Express was founded in 1995 by Emilio Dirube and began flight operations in March 1996. The last Boeing 727-200 was taken out of service at the end of 2007 . As a result, the appearance of the Falcon Air Express also changed.
In June 2015, Falcon Air Express returned its Air Operator Certificate to the Federal Aviation Administration at its own request , as it had not been able to extend the contract with the JPATS . As a result, flight operations were discontinued. A few days later, Falcon Air Express filed for bankruptcy.
Destinations
From Miami mainly destinations in North and South America were served for other companies in wet lease and ad hoc charter. In addition, prisoner transports and military personnel flights were carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
fleet
As of January 2015, the Falcon Air Express fleet consisted of seven McDonnell Douglas MD-83s , two of which were on hold. Furthermore, two of these planes flew on behalf of Homeland Security and for JPATS . The fleet had an average age of 29.6 years.
