Doral is a city in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 45,704 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Doral is about 6 miles west of Miami .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 45,704 inhabitants were distributed over 17,785 households. The population density was 1294.7 inh / km². 88.7% of the population identified themselves as whites , 2.5% as African American , 0.1% as Indians and 3.6% as Asian Americans . 3.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.1% to several ethnic groups. 79.5% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 50.7% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 13.9% of all households. 79.4% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.00 people and the average family size was 3.33 people.

31.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 31.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 28.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 9.4% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 34 years. 48.1% of the population were male and 51.9% were female.

The median annual income was $ 71,656, with 8.3% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 16.15% of the population, 74.50% spoke Spanish and 9.35% had another mother tongue.

The urban area is touched by Florida State Roads 821 ( Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike , toll), 826 ( Palmetto Expressway ) and 836 ( Dolphin Expressway , toll). The Miami airport is located just east of the city area.
