Cutler Bay is about 20 km south of Miami on Biscayne Bay . Palmetto Bay borders the city to the north .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 40,286 inhabitants were distributed over 14,620 households. The population density was 2543.3 inh / km². 77.3% of the population identified themselves as whites , 14.2% as African-Americans , 0.2% as Indians and 2.3% as Asian Americans . 2.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.2% to several ethnic groups. 54.5% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 43.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 24.2% of all households. 76.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.00 people and the average family size was 3.38 people.
