Gladeview is a census-designated place (CDP) in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 11,535 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Gladeview borders the cities of Miami (in the east) and Hialeah (in the west) and forms a common urban space with them. Florida State Roads 9 and 934 cross or touch the CDP . Gladeview is connected to the Miami-Dade Metrorail via the Northside and Martin Luther King Station in the direction of Kendall (terminus Dadeland South ) and Medley (terminus Palmetto ). At the nearby transfer station you can change between the Metrorail and the Tri-Rail .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 11,535 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 4,056 households. The population density was 1747.7 inh / km². 17.4% of the population identified themselves as whites , 75.2% as African American , 0.1% as Indians and 0.2% as Asian Americans . 4.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.4% to several ethnic groups. 24.2% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 43.8% of all households and people aged 65 and over in 25.1% of all households. 69.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.12 people and the average family size was 3.67 people.
33.2% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 27.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 25.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 13.4% were 60 years or older. The mean age was 31 years. 47.6% of the population were male and 52.4% were female.
