Golden Glades is a census-designated place (CDP) in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 33,145 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Golden Glades is bordered by the following cities (clockwise, starting in the west): Opa-locka , Miami Gardens , North Miami Beach, and North Miami . The CDP is about 6 miles north of Miami .
A major traffic junction is named after Golden Glades . This is where the Florida Turnpike (SR 91) and Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) highways branch off from Interstate 95 , and US Highway 441 and Florida State Roads 7 and 9 also intersect at this point. In addition, State Roads 915 and 916 cross Golden Glades . The town also has a Tri-Rail station on the Miami- Mangonia Park line , which is also served by Greyhound Lines' long-distance buses .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 33,145 inhabitants were distributed over 10,945 households. The population density was 2609.8 inh / km². 19.4% of the population identified themselves as whites , 72.8% as African American , 0.3% as Indians and 1.6% as Asian Americans . 2.9% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.1% to several ethnic groups. 18.5% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 45.8% of all households and people aged 65 and over in 25.3% of all households. 73.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.28 people and the average family size was 3.78 people.
28.7% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 27.7% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.5% were 40 to 59 years old, and 15.1% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 34 years. 47.4% of the population were male and 52.6% were female.
The median annual income was $ 38,033, with 24.0% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 44.28% of the population, 31.35% spoke Haitian and 24.37% had another mother tongue.
