North Miami Beach is a city in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 41,523 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
North Miami Beach is about 4 miles north of Miami and is bordered by the municipalities of Miami Gardens , Aventura , Sunny Isles Beach, and North Miami .
climate
The climate is mild and warm, light with a light wind from the sea. Statistically, it rains an average of 50% of the days in the summer months, even if only for a short time. The highest temperatures are in May to October, with up to 31 ° C. The coldest months from December to February with an average of only 15 ° C. Snowfall is almost unknown in the region.
Religions
In North Miami Beach there are currently 6 different churches from 5 different denominations, of which the Baptist congregation is most strongly represented with 2 churches. (Status: 2004).

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 36.9% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 25.1% of all households. 68.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.86 people and the average family size was 3.45 people.
26.4% of the population were younger than 20 years, 28.5% were 20 to 39 years old, 28.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 16.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 36 years. 47.9% of the population were male and 52.1% were female.
The median annual income was $ 41,489, with 19.3% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, 38.50% of the population spoke English as their first language, 31.97% spoke Spanish , 19.32% spoke Haitian, and 10.21% had another mother tongue.
Attractions
The Fulford by the Sea Entrance and the Ancient Spanish Monastery are listed on the National Register of Historic Places .

traffic
North Miami Beach is very conveniently located. Interstate 95 , Florida's Turnpike (toll road), US Highway 441 and Florida State Roads 7 , 9 and 826 ( Palmetto Expressway ) cross at the Golden Glades Interchange at the west end . US Highway 1 and State Roads 5 , 860 , 909 and 915 also run through the city . The nearest airports are Opa-locka Executive Airport (national, 7 km away) and Miami International Airport (20 km).
crime
The crime rate in 2010 was 517 points (US average: 266 points) in the high range. There were two murders, 29 rapes, 136 robberies, 179 physical injuries, 743 break-ins, 1189 thefts, 177 car thefts and seven arson attacks.
In 2015 it became known that the police in North Miami Beach used so-called mugshots for target practice. Above all, the fact that people with black skin color are mainly shot was perceived negatively.
