Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 36,154 inhabitants were distributed over 12,054 households. The population density was 4108.4 inh / km². 89.8% of the population identified themselves as whites , 3.2% as African American , 0.2% as Indians and 1.2% as Asian Americans . 3.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.2% to several ethnic groups. 88.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 45.4% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 26.1% of all households. 82.2% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
