Indian Creek is a municipality in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 86 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Indian Creek Island is located in Biscayne Bay , about 3 miles northeast of Miami as the crow flies . On the opposite banks are the communities of North Miami , Bay Harbor Islands , Surfside, and Miami Beach . Indian Creek is connected to Surfside by a bridge.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 86 inhabitants were distributed over 33 households. The population density was 78.2 inh / km². 98.8% of the population identified themselves as whites and 1.2% as Asian Americans . 27.9% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 46.2% of all households lived in 34.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 76.9% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.31 people and the average family size was 3.40 people.

30.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 8.2% were 20 to 39 years old, 33.8% were 40 to 59 years old, and 28.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 45 years. 52.3% of the population were male and 47.7% were female.

The median annual income was $ 132,500 with no one living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
