The falconer gauntlet is a protective weapon and tool from Europe.

description

The falconer's gauntlet is made of steel . In its basic structure, it is worked in exactly the same way as the ordinary gauntlets on European plate armor . The special thing is that the top of the glove is elongated. When the fist is closed, the front end protrudes beyond the knuckles of the hand and has just been worked. On the back of the hand, a kind of rod is attached in a U-shape and attached to the glove at the ends. There is a few centimeters of space between the glove and this rod. This device serves as a perch for a hunting falcon . These gloves are designed to be able to take a falcon with you and still wear armor . Usually a leather glove is common for falconers. A hawk could not land and sit on a gauntlet without the perch, as it would slide on the smooth surface. These gloves are rare and can no longer be found often.
