A trapping stick is used in water management to regulate a water (inflow) run z. B. to a water mill, a managed pond or for irrigation. In addition to a dam or a weir, a variable retaining wall is used. This is raised or lowered to regulate the inflow. The upper water leads to the mill or pond, the excess water follows the course of the stream or river as underwater.
