Family atlas

The family atlas is a study that examines the family-friendliness of German cities and illustrates it using thematic maps .

In the study, all 439 districts and cities in Germany are rated according to the criteria of population development , education and the labor market , work-life balance, and security and prosperity .

The Family Atlas 2005 was presented to the public on January 20, 2005 by the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Renate Schmidt .

In 2007 the family atlas was drawn up again as part of a study. It was published on October 4, 2007 by the Federal Minister for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth, Ursula von der Leyen . The Family Atlas 2007 bears the subtitle "Position determination, potentials, fields of action".

The studies were carried out by Prognos AG .
