Fanes Square
The Fano; dated Square is a square in Baden Rastatt .
On the occasion of the partnership between Fano and Rastatt in 1985/86, Faneser Platz was opened to the public in Rastatt on September 15, 1991 . The document signed on April 13, 1985 by Mayor Gustavo Mazzoni in Fano and on September 13, 1986 by Mayor Franz J. Rothenbiller in Rastatt, is based on a long mutual bond between the two cities.
The castle in Rastatt was built by the Fanes master builder Domenico Egidio Rossi ; so it is not surprising that the square is adorned by a work of art by the famous Fanes sculptor Giuliano Vangi .
The square near the castle is also the entrance to the Rastatt City Museum with lots of information about the city's history.
