Catch stand

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Catching stand refers to stands for obstacles in equestrian sport , which not only carry the rods, but also serve as a lateral boundary. They help the horse concentrate on the obstacle and not move sideways. Catch stands are more difficult to carry when building a parcous than simple stands that are used more often in everyday life. The task of the catch is then often taken over by bars on the side.

Holders, the so-called supports , into which the rods or planks of the obstacle are placed are attached to the safety stand .
