Faraday Society

The Faraday Society was a British physical chemistry society founded in 1903 , named after Michael Faraday . In 1980 she went with other chemical societies in Great Britain in the Royal Society of Chemistry , in which she forms the Faraday Section (Faraday Division).

She published the Faraday Discussions , the scientific result of her regular conference of the same name, and the Faraday Transactions (from 1905, taken over by the Chemical Society in 1971).

One of the first presidents was Lord Kelvin from 1905 to 1907 , the first president was Joseph Swan .

Your Bourke Lecture is now the Bourke Award .
