Color code
Color code and color identification are synonymous with:
- Identification colors that symbolize certain subsets of objects
- Micro color code , a microscopic security feature against product piracy
- for electrotechnical components a color coding for their values, see
- the color representation of the properties of a thermocouple
- a breakdown or grouping of a continuous color spectrum from which chemical states can be read, see indicator (chemistry)
- Pressurized gas bottles have a color on their shoulder, possibly also on their cylinder jacket or a color corresponding to their content
- Media lines, their shut-off devices, connection points and measuring devices for pressure or flow, covers of underground lines often have color markings
- Natural gas - yellow
- (Cold) water, oxygen - blue
- Superheated steam, hot water, district heating - red
- Compressed air - gray
- Medical gases
For pressurized gas cylinders and medical gases, there were changes in the color codes in 2003/2006, which have not yet been standardized across Europe.
Color code denotes:
- generally representative numerical values that cause a color in Internet programming, see web color
- individual values within the hexadecimal color definition
