A Farm Stall (also Farmstall or Afrikaans padstal ) is in South Africa a powered mostly by farmers shop on a highway. Farm stalls can be found in all provinces of South Africa. In the beginning there were small stalls that were set up next to the streets, some have existed since the 1970s.

You are independent and mainly deal in local and homemade products. The offer ranges from the farm's own as well as products from neighboring farms. This includes jam (jam), butter, bread, cheese, dried fruits and nuts, eggs, pies (pies), coffee or wines to wrought iron work, wooden furniture and other handicrafts. Local farm workers can earn extra income by making jams, canned food and clothing that is available in the store. The wood for a typical braai is also popular .

Most of the farm stalls are open daily and offer typical South African food such as roosterkoek (bread dough cooked on a charcoal grill), lemon meringue pie , koeksister and bobotie and drinks such as ginger beer in an integrated café .
