Farshad Noor (born October 2, 1994 in Best , Netherlands ) is a Dutch - Afghan football player who has been under contract with the Cypriot first division club Nea Salamis Famagusta since 2018 .
Career
society
Noor began his career with the Wilhelmina Boys before joining the PSV Eindhoven youth team in 2004 . In 2013 he was promoted to PSV's second team, where he played 67 games in two years. For the 2015/16 season, the midfielder moved to the honorary division Roda Kerkrade , where he was able to establish himself as a regular player. Due to a foot injury in October 2015 and the following three-month injury break, Noor lost his regular place and was only used three times in the rest of the season.
In the beginning of the new season he came back to regular appearances, towards the end of the first half of the season he almost only came to short appearances. After he was not allowed to go to the training camp in Portugal with the team, he was awarded to the second division club SC Cambuur at the beginning of 2017 . After his return to Roda, the Swedish second division AFC Eskilstuna signed him in the summer of 2017. But only half a year later he signed a contract with the Cypriot first division club Nea Salamis Famagusta .
National team
In 2010 and 2011, Noor played three times for the Dutch U-17 national team . In 2017 he decided to play Afghanistan for his parents' homeland from now on . After receiving his Afghan passport, national coach Otto Pfister nominated him for the games against Singapore and Vietnam in March 2017 . Noor finally made his debut against Singapore.
