Fascism in the Netherlands

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The fascism was in the Netherlands never very common, however, produced a large number of movements and parties. Many parties, such as the largest right-wing extremist party in the Netherlands , the NSB , later became National Socialist under the influence of the Third Reich .

history

The first small fascist parties were founded around 1923. One of the first parties was the Zwart Front . Later the NSB gained more and more influence and displaced the other parties. But without the German invasion of the Netherlands , the NSB would have remained an insignificant small party. After the end of the war, the NSB was banned, and the neo-Nazi NVU came into being in the 1970s . But no right-wing extremist movement was able to build on the success of the NSB. Nowadays a ban on the NVU is being considered, similar to that of the German NPD .
