Fatma Ekenoğlu

Fatma Ekenoğlu (* 1956 in Paphos ) is a Turkish Cypriot politician.

In 1983 Ekenoğlu graduated from the Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty at the University of İstanbul . In 1988 she worked there as an internist. Between 1988 and 1994 Ekenoğlu worked as a freelance doctor. From 1994 she was employed at the Cengiz Topel Hospital.

In the parliamentary elections on February 6, 1998 , she was elected as a member of the Turkish Republican Party for the Güzelyurt district, as well as in the subsequent elections in December 2003 , February 2005 and April 2009 . From January 14, 2004 she was the President of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . After the 2009 election, she was replaced in this position on May 6, 2009 by Hasan Bozer from UBP . She has not been represented in parliament since the July 28, 2013 election.
