Fatumanongi (also: Fatuinangi , Fatumanogi , Kooroomamaca ) is a small island in the north of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The motu is very exposed in the northwest of the archipelago. The closest islands are Fotuha'a in the south and Niniva in the east. The closest to the west is Kao Island . The Ava Tauoifi Strait runs to the south .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Fatumanongi is occasionally hit by cyclones .
