Fonuaika (also: Fanuaika , Fonoaika ) is a small island in the south of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The Motu is located in the south of the archipelago, between ʻOʻua and Nomuka . The island is part of the southern fringing reef of the atoll and is located at the point where the Ava Fonuaika channel provides access to the center of the atoll .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Ha'apai group, Fonuaika is occasionally hit by cyclones .
