Fausto Papetti

Fausto Papetti (born January 28, 1923 in Viggiù ; † June 15, 1999 in Sanremo ) was an Italian alto saxophonist .

Papetti's first single was released in 1959. While still on the road with his jazz group for the first few years, Papetti became a major player in salon music and easy listening in the 1960s to 1970s . Together with his orchestra he recorded instrumental versions of evergreens, film music, jazz , pop and hit songs. 50 long-playing records had been released by the time he died. These were also known for their slightly erotic record covers.
