Fausto Salvatori

Fausto Salvatori (born January 20, 1870 in Rome , † June 3, 1929 there ) was an Italian writer and librettist.

Salvatori attended the Collegio degli orfani of the Church of Santa Maria in Aquiro . In 1906 he was awarded an honorable mention in a competition of the Società Editrice Sonzogno for the poem La festa del grano , which was set to music by Pietro Mascagni . In addition to other lyrical works, he wrote several opera libretti: In 1919 he wrote Inno a Roma , which was composed by Giacomo Puccini , in 1923 the libretto for La bella e il mostro by Luigi Ferrari Trecate and in 1927 for Vittorio Gui the libretto La fata Malerba . He also wrote templates and scripts for some films from the early 1920s.
