Fencing Championships of the German Gymnastics Association 1925

The fencing championships of the German Gymnastics Association in 1925 were held in Hanover. At the same time, the German Fencing Association held its own championships in Cologne and Berlin. The fencers took part in the championships of the respective federation in which their clubs or the fencing departments of their clubs were organized. There were only individual competitions for men, there were no women’s competitions.

A total of 49 fencers took part. Wilhelm Löffler was able to win the championship title with ten victories in eleven fights in the final round ahead of Hermann Schöndube (eight victories) and last year's winner Julius Thomson (seven victories).

36 fencers started in the epee competition. Hermann Schöndube was the winner ahead of Paul Postel and Schmitz.

saber

39 fencers started in saber fencing. It won Wilhelm Schöndube with nine wins in eleven battles in the final round ahead of Herbert Hoops (eight wins) and Weidlich (seven wins).
