The Federazione Sammarinese Pallavolo (FSPAV for short) is the national volleyball association in the Republic of San Marino .

history

The association, founded in 1980, is a member of the National Olympic Committee of San Marino , the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball and the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball . FSPAV has the task of coordinating volleyball and beach volleyball in the republic and, as a sports organization, promoting the competitive activities of the individual clubs. The current president is Gian Luigi Lazzarini, the headquarters are in the city ​​of San Marino and the training facility is in Serravalle .

The association also coordinates the activities of the national male and female athletes of each club with a view to participating in the games of the small states of Europe . The association is also involved in the organization of other events of international importance, e.g. B. Qualifications for Olympic Games and World Championships. Head coach is Stephen Mascetti.

In 1999, 2001, 2005 and 2011 the women's team Nazionale di pallavolo femminile di San Marino took first place in the games of the small states of Europe.
