The Frisian Zealand around 1300

The Federgo , also called Federitga , is a historical landscape , located on the northwestern edge of East Friesland directly on the Wadden Sea , which roughly includes today's Krummhörn . Before the collapse of the Leybucht , the north parish is said to have belonged to the Federgo. The Gau probably got its name after a striking swamp plant growing there.

The Federgo bordered the Brookmerland in the east and the Emsigerland in the south .
