Life

Biscione studied piano , composition and conducting at the L'Aquila Conservatory . He made his first compositions in 1985. This was followed by a creative break and a time in which he composed relatively little. Since 2003 the scope of his compositional work has increased considerably. He has created commissioned works for the Milan Chamber Music Orchestra, the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Chemnitz, the Teatro Regio di Torino and the Milan University Orchestra, among others . With his work “Dalla Soffitta” he won first prize in the Italian composition competition “Mozart oggi” in 2005. He is currently a scholarship holder at the Leipzig University of Music .

music

Federico Biscione is one of the contemporary composers who has made a partial return to tonality . He makes use of various stylistic elements and creates new musical structures that are based on the classical tonal system, but currently defy precise definition in words (as there are no binding terms for this yet). In his work “Mozart - A Biography”, for example, he brings familiar themes and motifs into completely new contexts.
As far as the cast is concerned, works with singing and orchestras with a smaller cast are his focus.
