Sweep Murray
Frederic Seymour ("Feg") Murray (born May 15, 1894 in San Francisco , California , † July 16, 1973 in Carmel-by-the-Sea , California) was an American athlete .
Career
Murray became the American champion in the 110-meter hurdles and the 200-meter hurdles in 1915 . Over the longer distance he successfully defended his title the following year. In the final of the 110-meter hurdles of the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , Murray won the bronze medal in 15.2 seconds behind Canadian Earl Thomson , who became Olympic champion in a world record time of 14.8 seconds , and his compatriot Harold Barron in 15.0 Seconds.
