Holidays in St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha

In the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha there are six uncommitted holidays . At the end of each calendar year, the government of St. Helena publishes an overview of the days off for the coming year.

If Christmas falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Tuesday is considered a public holiday. For all other holidays on a Saturday or Sunday, the governor shall declare the previous Friday or the following Monday a public holiday.

Regional holidays are also celebrated on Tristan da Cunha and Ascension . Special days are regularly declared to be public holidays, each for a year. The last time it was on Ascension was July 4th, 2016.
