The field replacement company (FErsKp) was a non-active unit of the Bundeswehr until 2007 , which was mobilized when a certain alarm measure was triggered . She was an organizational part of a battalion whose replacement personnel she kept ready. The field replacement company of a hunter battalion z. B. received, based on the hunters' troops, the required replacement battalion from the assigned replacement battalion (ErsBtl) and passed it on to the battalion's units on request. She was fully mobile and self-sufficient. The equipment and strength of the field replacement company was based on the STAN .

The armed forces base decommissioned all non-active units on April 1, 2007.

During the crisis, the field replacement company established its operational readiness according to the decision of the commander in the context of crisis training.

Defense case

In the event of a defense , the field replacement company trained soldiers in “general tasks in action” and the training topics relevant to security. In addition, cross-service training could be carried out. The field replacement company only carried out ATN or ATB-related training if the corresponding large equipment was available. The location of the field replacement company was intended for security, closely following the staff and supply company of the respective battalion .
