Felgo (until February 2019 V-Play Engine ) is a cross-platform development tool based on the Qt framework . Felgo can be used to create mobile apps and games that can run on iOS, Android and Windows Phone as well as embedded devices and desktop platforms. The programming languages used are QML, JavaScript and optionally C ++ as well as native platform-dependent programming languages.

Felgo is developed as proprietary software by FELGO GmbH, which was founded in Austria in 2012. FELGO GmbH is based in Vienna. In 2014, as part of a cross-platform tool benchmark , developers surveyed by research2guidance voted Felgo the best engine in the areas of support, simplicity and time savings.

architecture

Felgo is based on Qt. Felgo is expanding this with additional components and services for the development of mobile apps and games. Felgo has been the official technology partner of Qt since 2014. Surfaces are created with the description language QML. These files can also contain JavaScript and enable property binding . In contrast to other approaches, these files are compiled so that the speed is not negatively affected by any interpreter. Variables can be typed as in the typescript . It is also possible to write modules and functions in C ++. Existing libraries in C ++, Object C and Java can be integrated. Felgo supplies its own backend server for user administration. A cloud service for managing users is also available. Apps and games are created with Qt's own development environment, Qt Creator . This development environment can also be used to debug programs that run on devices.

Third Party Services

Felgo enables the integration of numerous services in apps and games, including:
