Felipe de Souza Campos , called Felipe , (born May 24, 1981 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

The attacking midfielder left his home country in early 2007 and moved to Croatian club HNK Hajduk Split . After six months without commitment, Felipe's commitment in Split was already over and he then found a new employer in the newly established New Zealand team Wellington Phoenix . There he developed in the 2007/08 season to a top performer in the club's premier season in the A-League , but could not prevent the last place in the final standings.

For the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with the planned A-League expansion team Gold Coast Galaxy . But when he was not granted a license in May 2008, his contract was invalid. He then completed a three-week trial training session with the Polish first division club Wisła Krakow , but could not recommend himself for a contract there and returned to Brazil after the transfer window was closed, where he kept fit at a local club. In February 2009 Felipe signed a contract with the Australian expansion team North Queensland Fury , but canceled his contract before the start of the season and moved to the Saudi Arabian first division club Al-Raed .
