al-Raed FC ( Arabic نادي الرائد, DMG Nādī r-Rāʾid ) is a Buraida- based football club that plays in the Saudi Professional League , the top division of Saudi Arabia . The club plays its home games at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraida and shares this stadium with city rivals al-Taawoun .

history

The club was able to qualify for the Premier League of Saudi Arabia (then top division) in 1986/1987. She entered the Saudi Premier League as the first team from al-Qasim province . The team repeated promotion to the Premier League in late 1989, 1992, 1998, 2002 and 2007, making it a classic elevator team . Since 2008 the club has been able to establish itself in the top division.
