Felix Fuders

Felix Fuders (* 16th January 1975 ) is a German, in Chile acting economics .

Life

Felix Fuders studied at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and received his doctorate there in 2006.

Since 2010 Fuders has been Professor of Economics at the Universidad Austral de Chile , where he represents the subjects of microeconomics , ecological economics, and economic and monetary policy. He has been the director of the university's Institute of Economics since 2016.

In his research, Fuders deals with regional development, monetary policy and ecological economics. He defends the concept of an economy of neighborly love in which the market equilibrium in the model of complete competition is no longer falsified by a monetary and land order that contradicts human nature.

Fuders was also significantly involved in the drafting of an index (Índice de Desarrollo a Escala Humana), with which the level of development of a region can be determined based on the realization of fundamental human needs. This index is based on the needs matrix from Manfred Max-Neef , Martin Hoppenhayn and Antonio Elizalde.

Fuders is Director of SPRING Chile, Right Livelihood College - Campus Austral, member of the Society for Sustainability and in the Network for Sustainable Economy. Since 2017 he has been the 1st chairman of the Initiative for Natural Economic Order .
