Rock carvings by Aubeberget

The Bronze Age rock carvings from Aubeberget ( Norwegian Helleristningene på Aubeberget ) discovered in 1959 are not far from the Hafrsfjord in Sør-Sunde, near Stavanger in the Rogaland Fylke in Norway .
Based on the design, the archaeologists differentiate between carvings made by hunters and gatherers and those made by arable farmers , including those of Aubeberget. The three fields below the Aubeberget near the Hafrsfjord Bridge consist of 96 petroglyphs , mainly ship figures , rings and bowls and have the Riksantikvarens ID No. 54248. The figures are painted in red.
Nearby are the Pallesen-Tomta stones .
