Rock carvings from Lille Strandbygård

The rock carvings at Lille Strandbygård in the southwest of the Danish island of Bornholm are located on a rock outcrop in the middle of the field.

In addition to many bowls , people from the Bronze Age also carved eleven wheel crosses ( Danish Hjulkors or Solkors = sun cross) in the stone. One of them has a concentric ring. The bowls are believed to be magical symbols, but their exact meaning is unknown. There are hundreds of them on the island, while they are rare in the rest of Denmark.
