Fera is an uninhabited island in the Isabel Province of the Pacific island state of Solomon Islands .
The 3.7 km long and maximum 1.4 km wide island is located in a lagoon ( Maringe Lagoon ) just off the southeast coast of Santa Isabel opposite the provincial capital Buala .
The “international airport” of Buala is located on Fera: a natural, 743 m long runway .
