The Ferdinand-Warte (at an altitude of 370  m above sea level ) is a lookout point in the municipality of Bergern in the Dunkelsteinerwald in Lower Austria .

The Erzherzog-Franz-Ferdinand-Warte (named after Franz Ferdinand von Österreich-Este , the eldest son of Archduke Karl Ludwig ) sits enthroned as a pavilion-like wooden structure on a rock at 370 m height in the Dunkelsteinerwald. It was built by the Austrian Tourist Club in 1890 and has been owned by the municipality of Mautern an der Donau since 1960 . It stands on a rock ledge above a steep drop to the Danube . From here you have a view of the Wachau from Rossatz via Dürnstein and Loiben to Stein , Krems , Mautern and Göttweig Abbey .

The Ferdinand-Warte can be reached in two ways: via the Stickelsteig from Rossatzbach and via the village of Unterbergern.
