Ferdinand Hachenberg
Ferdinand Hachenberg (born June 23, 1852 in Mülheim am Rhein , today Cologne- Mulheim, † April 17, 1917 there ) was a German sculptor and wood carver of historicism .
Ferdinand Hachenberg was a son of the carpenter Peter Hachenberg and his wife Gudula Juliane geb. Herb maker. He learned the craft of a sculptor and wood carver; He completed his apprenticeship with the cathedral sculptor Peter Fuchs . After completing his training, he went into business for himself in Mülheim am Rhein in 1880.
Ferdinand Hachenberg created numerous works for churches, especially in Cologne, but also in the Rhineland.
Works
- 1885: Twelve pillar figures in stone for the Church of the Assumption of Mary (today Church of Our Lady ) in Cologne-Mülheim
- 1886–1903: Two side altars for the parish church of St. Josef in Bonn-Beuel
- almost the entire interior of the parish church of St. Giles in Cologne-Porz, consecrated in 1896
