Ferdinand Trentinaglia

Ferdinand Trentinaglia (born November 2, 1910 in Innsbruck , † September 23, 1985 in St. Pölten , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian Jesuit and writer .

Life

Ferdinand Trentinaglia studied theology in Innsbruck . He finished his studies in 1938 with a doctorate on a New Testament topic. During the National Socialist rule in Austria , Trentinaglia, who belonged to the Jesuit order , was involved in the Catholic resistance ; In May 1944 he was arrested by the Gestapo and sentenced to 18 months in prison for " pulpit abuse " . From 1955 Trentinaglia worked as a pastor in the Lower Austrian community of Bärnkopf .

In addition to his pastoral work, Ferdinand Trentinaglia wrote theological treatises and, in the 1950s, three books for young people .
