Ferdinando Merighi

Ferdinando Merighi (* 1924 in Rome ) is an Italian film director .

Life

Merighi had been in the film business since the 1950s. In 1953 he wrote Mai ti scorderò and was assistant to director Giuseppe Guarino in his last film. Four years later he shot, again based on his own book, Il sole tornerà , a sentimental comedy with Nilla Pizzi and Roberto Mauri in the leading roles. Merighi only reappeared in 1967 and was again working as an assistant director for a number of genre films. In 1972 and the following year he turned under the pseudonym Fred Lyon Morris two films, the thriller Casa d'appuntamento and comic spaghetti western Allegri becchini ... arriva Trinità , both of which are ranked among the worst representatives of their kind.
