Fereidoon Tavallali

Fereidoon Tavallali (also: Fereydoun Tavallali or Fereydun Tawallali , Persian فریدون توللی; * 1918 or 1919 in Shiraz ; † 1985 ) was a Persian writer (poet, satirist and essayist) and archaeologist .

He studied archeology at the Tehran University and eventually worked in this profession for a few years. At an early age he read poems by Roudaki, Ferdowsi, Nezami, Saadi, Hafez and Rumi. Tavallali, who published four volumes of poetry, also worked as a journalist. He published articles and poems in Sukhan and Yaghma in the 1940s and 1950s .
