List of Persian writers

This list includes writers and poets who have written works in the Persian language . It is arranged chronologically by year of birth, and includes those both in modern states , Iran , Afghanistan , Tajikistan , where Persian is in one of its varieties now official language, as well as in other countries of the region front , Central and South Asia have lived or live.
