Nadschmuddin Daya Razi

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nadschmuddin Daya Razi († 1256 ) was an Islamic mystic (see Sufism ) and a member of the Tariqa Kubrawiyya (Kubrawiyya dervish order ).

He was a student of the founder of the order, Nadschmuddin Kubra , who was killed in 1220 when the Mongols invaded Khorezm . Shortly before this incident, Nadschmuddin Daya Razi emigrated to Anatolia , where he wrote his work Mirsad al-'ibad in the city of Sivas . He dedicated this to Ala ad-Din Kaykobad , the ruler of Konya , who at the same time granted refuge from the Mongols to the famous Persian Sufi Jalal ad-Din Rumi and his family.
