Persian Heritage Series

The Persian Heritage Series is a book series with translations of Persian classics into the most important Western languages ​​and Japanese. Leading representatives of Iranian and Oriental Studies contributed to it. It has been published by various publishers since the mid-1960s, including Columbia University Press in New York . Many of their volumes were included in the UNESCO collection of representative works . The series was originally developed by the UNESCO and the Persian Department of translation and publication support (Royal Institute of Translation and Publication of Persia), as private funds. To date, 40 volumes in this series have been published under the editorship of Ehsan Yarshater ( Columbia University ).
